Where do we belong
These little beauties were inspired by Victor Hugo's paintings. He often used coffee, gouache, ink and watercolor in his work. Linda uses these same materials on watercolor paper with a technique similar to her charcoal work. She begins by covering the paper with water and letting the medium flow where it will. The process is repeated until the imagery begins to reveal itself . . . a texture, a place, a detail to bring out. Linda allows the element of chance to bring these places into being. In some pieces she adds found photos that seem to need a place themselves. . .
I've been wondering about this place for a long time
Tiniest of sweet little places
These stunning and mysterious pieces were made using water, an acetylene torch and sunshine.
